Chaque année, un nombre de décès aurait pu être évité si un adulte ou un enfant avait porté un gilet  de sauvetage ou un vêtement de flottaison individuel.

La recherche indique que le port d'un gilet de sauvetage augmente considérablement le potentiel de prolonger la vie et les chances de survie dans l'eau d'une personne. C'est pourquoi nous faison appel au gouvernement du Nouveau-Brunswick de rendre le port d'un gilet de sauvetage obligatoire pour tout le monde qui participe dans des activités commerciales ou de loisirs.

Make the wearing of lifejackets compulsory

Each year a number of fatalities could have been avoided if the adult or child had been wearing a lifejacket or buoyancy aid.

Research indicates that wearing a lifejacket or buoyancy aid significantly increases the potential to prolong life and a person’s chances of surviving in the water, therefore we call upon the Government of New Brunswick to make the wearing of a lifejacket or buoyancy aid compulsory for everyone, whether engaged in commercial or leisure activities.
