PROLONGEMENT MÉTRO LIGNE ROSE JUSQU’À LAVAL/PROLONG THE PINK METRO LINE INTO LAVAL

             Et les conseillers municipaux du Mouvement Lavallois

ATTENDU QUE dans le cadre de la construction d’éventuels mode de transports collectifs structurant, Laval doit procéder à leur planification avec la ville de Montréal.  

ATTENDU QUE l’Est de Laval, particulièrement les districts St-Vincent-de-Paul et St-François sont mal desservis par le transport en commun.

ATTENDU QUE si une station de métro est construite dans St-Vincent-de-Paul, cela viendrait aussi désengorger les autoroutes 19, 25,  440 et 15.

ATTENTU QUE Laval ne peut pas se priver d’une possibilité d’optimaliser l’efficacité fonctionnelle et économique de ce réseau.

PAR CONSÉQUENT Nous, signataires, demandons que la ville de Laval soit impliquée dans l’étude du projet de la ligne rose du métro de la Ville de Montréal pour qu’il y ait un prolongement dans l’Est de Laval de la station Montréal-Nord à St-Vincent-de-Paul.   Le tout respectueusement soumis.

             and the Municipal Councillors of Mouvement Lavallois  

WHEREAS in the context of possible future construction of public transportation modes, Laval must consult with the City of Montreal. 

WHEREAS the East of Laval, particularly the districts St-Vincent-de-Paul and St-François are poorly served by public transport. 

WHEREAS if a metro station is built in St-Vincent-de-Paul, it would also relieve congestion on highways 19, 25, 440 and 15. 

WHEREAS Laval cannot deprive itself of an opportunity to optimize the functional and economic efficiency of this network. 

CONSEQUENTLY We, the undersigned, hereby request that the City of Laval be included in the study for Montreal’s Pink Metro Line project in order to extend the service from Montreal North to the Eastern part of Laval in St. Vincent de Paul.
