Aside from the obvious health benifits to both dog owners and their pets there is no scientific evidence that dogs in the forest are causing harm to the forest or anyone using the space that would justify their prohibition.

As a tax payer I am not inclined to see my tax dollars going towards enforcement of such a ban. There are obviously more important things the municipality can do with my taxes. If our current councillor supports this ban then my vote will go to someone more fiscally responsible in the next election.
