Pour une fois qu'il y a un endroit ou les chiens peuvent depenser leur energie en courrAnt et jouant avec d'autres chiens, c'est une tres mauvaise decision de la part de la ville de defendre les chiens de se promener sans lesse.
sentiers. deuxiemement depuis deux ans que je frequente les sentiers a six jours sur sept je n'ai vu qu'un pique-bois ce n'est pas juste.
Laissez-nous notre espace.
Boucher Forest
I understand this is a privately owned and protected forest, with some unique wildlife ecosystems. Educate the public and impose fines for not picking up after your dog. Perhaps regulating this implies costs for the city, but if it is in line with environmental innitiatives and there is a budget for it, then why not. I don't think the dogs pose any threat to the wildlife (after all, they are more at one with nature than us). Some breeds need to be free to run wild to cure the boredom and spend their energy and are not engaged enough when walking in circles or socializing with other dogs. Not any place better to do it or anything close so please don't take this privliedge away.

Je suis entièrement d'accord; ce serait très dommage qu'on nous interdise l'accès à la forêt Boucher avec nos chiens. Je me promène depuis 3 ans sur les sentiers de cette forêt et c'est le moment que j'aime le plus de ma journée. Après une longue journée passée au travail, il fait bon de pouvoir se retrouver en nature et oublier les ordinateurs, cellulaires, voitures et autoroutes. J'ai rarement vu des gens sillonner les sentiers de la forêt sans être accompagnés d'un chien, et en plus, je n'ai jamais été témoin d'aucune situation où les chiens ont été agressifs envers les humains. La forêt Boucher est le seul endroit où on peut laisser nos chiens courir en liberté alors pourquoi nous enlever ce privilège? Il est interdit d'aller dans les parcs et sur les pistes cyclables avec nos chiens et maintenant, on veut nous interdire de nous promener en forêt? Ceci m'attriste énormément...
Boucher Forest
My opinion is I do not think the dogs pose any threat to wildlife. Everyone knows a bored dog is an unhappy pet.
The Boucher park is a wonderful place for dogs to socialize and get their daily exercise. There is no other place for them. With so many dog owners the idea of taking the parc away is unthinkable.

Et qu'est-ce que la ville fera des "bush party"? Je crois que ceci est un problème beaucoup plus important que de ce préocuper d'interdire les chiens dans la forêt!!!!!! Sans comter tout le vandalisme et les déchets qui y trainnent......
Déjà que le Québec ne fait pas fort concernant la protection des animaux ou l'acceptation des chiens dans les parcs provinciaux, Gatineau fait preuve d'étroitesse d'esprit en voulant retirer l'accès à la forêt Boucher. Pas de meilleure excuse alors pour construire dessus puisque plus personne n'ira s'y promener; que faire d'un terrain inutilisé... ?! Ah ben tiens, si la population de l'Outaouais va croître de 25 % ces prochains vingt ans, faut bien les mettre à quelque part. En attendant, les chiens sont les boucs-émissaires.
Action Gatineau - Dehors
Dans trois ans, dehors Action Gatineau. Les propriétaires de chiens sont une cible facile pour les écolos enragés soutenu par le parti Action Gatineau. La vrai cible des écolos et la ville devrait être les entrepreneurs qui rasent les terrains boisés de la ville pour construire des condos horribles. Regarder ce qui se passe au nord du chemin pink. Que la ville trouve des millions pour les proprios de chiens et qu'elle nous trouve un boisé de la même dimension a Hull Aylmer. Quelle farce.
I want to have the right to walk with my dog along the trails in the Boucher Forest, with my dog off-leash and free. I respect the ecology of the Boucher Forest. My dog and I present no threat whatsoever to the ecology of the Boucher Forest. Every dog owner I've ever met over the years when walking along the trails with their well-behaved, off-leash dogs respects the ecology of the Boucher Forest as well. There is no experience more healthy and more pleasurable for a dog owner than walking along the forest trails with your canine companion walking freely with you. Healthy for people, healthy for dogs, healthy for the forest.

Reason for the removal: error
The dog owners, an estimated over 5000 with over 500 registered members, that attend the dog park and the forest have assumed responsibility on their own to maintain access to the Boucher forest by clearing and cleaning paths, as well as building the bridges that permit access. The Boucher park group, the mushroom pickers and the few bird watchers have done nothing. They just want to keep others away. If the city agrees with them then it must logically remove the bridges and destroy the paths in the forest because they are illegal in that they were created by dog owners without City approval. Of course this would imply that no one would be able to access the forest, except for the most extreme environmentalists of which there is no more than a handful in Gatineau.
