I'm from the United States with a Shar Pei mixed breed who looks like a pit. Trust me. There's nothing vicious about her. The only reason these dogs get a bad rap is because of the dog fighters. Anyone who has had one or ever met one will tell you that they are the sweetest dogs ever. Yes, dogs are territorial creatures; so unless you're screwing around where you shouldn't be.. You should be fine. Yes, there are some cases where negligent owners should probably take better care of their dogs. But instead of doing a blanket ban on breeds of dog; how about using your resources and going after the real problem? For instance, the people (dog fighters, dog abusers, etc.) who ruin it for the rest of us?
